How you study with it

No prompting, no chat transcript to scroll back through. The whole guide is written before you start reading — you just read.

  1. Open a document Claude reads it and writes a complete study guide, organized into steps ordered by what's easiest to learn first — not by page order.
  2. Skim fast, check instantly Get through the material by reading the summary. When a line needs a closer look, click it — the original opens at the exact passage, spotlighted.
  3. Ask & merge Still unclear? Ask a question, then hit "Merge into Summary" to fold the answer into that section — your guide keeps getting better as you study.

Installing on macOS

The app isn't notarized with a paid Apple Developer certificate yet, so macOS will refuse to open it the first time. To run it:

  1. Right-click (or Control-click) Docent.app and choose Open, then click Open in the dialog that appears.
  2. If that doesn't work: open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll down to the message that Docent.app was blocked, and click Open Anyway.
